A growing number of studies have shown that gardening brings benefits to mental and physical health. The following 4 reasons to start planting.

1. Improve your life with more life

It's hard not to enjoy life when you are surrounded by flowers, vegetables and all the wildlife they attract.

Professors at the University of Texas and Texas A & M surveyed 298 older adults to measure their level of "pleasure in life", studied their levels of optimism, strength and found that those who practiced gardening scored significantly higher in all these areas those who were not gardeners.

4. Reduces risk of osteoporosis

Probably no surprise that gardening causes weight loss and improves the complexion due to the physical activity involved in maintaining a garden, but gardening surprisingly CIRCUIT-SWITCHED improve bone health.

In a study of 3,310 women, researchers from the University of Arkansas found that women who practiced gardening had lower risk of osteoporosis than those who jogged, swam or did aerobics.
